The East Ellijay Planning and Zoning department oversees zoning and building code compliance, reviews and approves development proposals, and provides guidance on land use issues. Our mission is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the community by ensuring that development is compatible with the city’s long-term goals and objectives. The department also provides information and assistance to residents and businesses on land use regulations and zoning requirements.
